Site Instructions
Choose a topic. Read the introduction, any articles that interest you, and any questions that seem similar to those you may have. Feel free to follow the links to find in-depth discussions of relevant terms and concepts.
You can also search for a topic of interest by typing a word or phrase in the open space near the search button. Then click on "Search." This will bring up a list of articles and questions that contain this word or phrase.
If you do not find the answer to your question, then send in an individual question by clicking on the button "Ask" next to the words "Ask the yoetzet." This will bring up a form to complete and send. We strive to answer questions within 3 working days. If the issue is urgent, you can reach a yoetzet halacha on a daily basis by calling 1-877-YOETZET from the United States and Canada, or 972-2-642-0102 from anywhere else. Click here or on the Hotline button for hours of operation.
Currently, articles and questions are posted on the site only in English. A Hebrew site is currently under construction. In the meantime, you may submit a question in Hebrew, and receive an answer in Hebrew.
