Hormonal treatment and vacation
Thanks for a wonderful site.
I am taking hormonal medication to prevent my period from coming, in order not to be a niddah when I am away on a forthcoming vacation. Do i still need to keep the onot and vestot dates?
Many thanks
Dear questioner,
Thank you for your question.
Since your period will be determined that month by the hormonal medication, you need not observe your usual vesatot that month. You only need to observe an onah based on when you stop taking the medication (usually 2-4 days after you stop, check the package instructions for specific directions).
Enjoy your vacation!
