Asking again about identical stains

For two months in a row (so far) I have found mucus encased pinkish- brown stains on day two of the 7 n'kiim. Both times they have been shown to a rav and were ruled fine. Is there any way I can avoid either finding it or asking the shaila? As it is I bleed/stain 9-12 days with my period, as if that is not stressful enough.

Dear questioner,

Thank you for your question.

If three separate identical stains are ruled as permitted, a woman need not inquire about them again.  If stains are found on underwear, a Rav may permit them based on their size, so long as there was no sensation of menses.  (We hold that anything smaller than an Israeli shekel or US dime is permitted in such cases. Remember, there is no minimum size for stains on a bedikah cloth or following a possible sensation of menses.)  A Rav may also permit stains based on their color.  Should you stain again, you should consult with your Rav as to the reasoning behind his ruling, and whether you need to inquire about such a stain in the future.

You should also see your physician about your staining and your long periods.  Even if there is no medical problem, he might be able to suggest treatment to help shorten the period.  Then you could bring that information to your Rav or to us.

This internet service does not preclude, override or replace the psak of any rabbinical authority. It is the responsibility of the questioner to inform us of any previous consultation or ruling. As even slight variation in circumstances may have Halachic consequences, views expressed concerning one case may not be applied to other, seemingly similar cases.
