Bedikot after hargashah postpartum

I remember learning that if one has three hargashot and does a bedika after each - if the three bedikot are clean one has a chazaka of a hargasha NOT indicating potential niddah status. Is it true that this chazaka must be "renewed" after (each) childbirth?

And if one has this chazaka, then in any case does hargasha with a stain render one a niddah?

Thank you

Dear questioner,

Thank you for your question.

The purpose of the chazakah is so you do not have to run and do a bedikah with each episode of hargashah, and so you can be less concerned if you have hargashah and then find nothing. It need not be renewed after childbirth. This chazakah does not change the fact that if you find a stain immediately after hargashah, it is judged based on the more stringent criteria of Torah law, rather than rabbinic law (see article on ketamim for more details).
