Planning vacation
Hello, I just got my period, and next month I am going to Europe for 2 weeks around the same time that im due for my period next month. I am just wondering if there is anything I can do to delay it for that amount of time. I know you probably get these type of questions alot but it would really help me out if you could get back to me. Thank you
Dear questioner,
Thank you for your question.
There is nothing in itself forbidden about regulating and changing a menstrual cycle. You are permitted to delay your period, with the approval of your physician and under his or her guidance. If you are not already using contraception, a method that would not interfere unduly with the obligation to procreate, such as progesterone taken before the onset of menstruation, is preferred.
Also, according to most opinions, when using these methods for the first time, you should still abstain from marital relations and perform bedikot on your veset days.
