Flow after hefsek
I had a clean hefsek (day 5) on Saturday, before shabbos was over. But then I started bleeding (there was actual undisputed flow) late Saturday night through Sunday night (even post shekiah.) so I didn't even attempt a bedikah. So what's my procedure now?
Do I need a new hefsek? Do I do a new hefsak Monday, and if that's good, and my next 7 days of bedikot are good, I can go to the mikvah Monday night?
Thanks.
Dear questioner,
Thank you for your question.
Your blood flow invalidated your first hefsek taharah. On the afternoon of the day on which it stops, you can perform a new hefsek taharah. If that is Monday, you will make a new hefsek taharah before shekiah and, if all goes well, immerse Monday night seven days later.
