Evaluating stains

I found a few light brown spots on my white underwear on day 1. I know the colour is okay because I once found a similar colour on a bedikah cloth and it was deemed okay by my Rav. My question is this: If the colour is okay, does the size still have to be less than a gris? One of the stains comes close to the size of a gris, and I 'm not sure whether I can consider it permissable if it is the size of a gris or larger.
For some reason I don't mind sending a bedikah cloth to my Rav, but I have a much harder time with my underwear and would like, if at all possible to avoid this.
Please let me know if I can carry on my count or must start with the following day ( I already obtained a clean hefsek the next day)

When the color is okay, the stains do not have to be smaller than a gris.  You may wish to consult your Rav by telephone to confirm that he need not evaluate it in person and that you may continue your count.  It is a good practice to ask your Rav after he evaluates a bedikah if you need ask him again about the color you brought in.

We understand your hesitation in bringing underwear.  If you are ever in a situation where you must bring underwear in, you could consider cutting out the piece in question.  It sacrifices your underwear, but may help you feel more comfortable.
