Cervical polyp removal

I had an external cervical polyp removed today at my GYN office. I am 55 and have been menopausal for almost 2 yrs. I have some serous pink spotting which will continue for a day or 2. This is not uterine bleeding.. so do i have to count and go to mikvah??

Dear questioner,

Thank you for your question.

In this case, where you had a procedure that typically causes bleeding, and the procedure and bleeding were clearly external to the uterus, you may attribute the bleeding to the procedure.  You are not considered niddah
