Veset kavua in first trimester
Firstly, thankyou for this fabulous service:
So I have a vestet kavua of 30 days. I got my last period on day 30 on jan13 then I missed my next period, due on feb11 because I'm pregnant :)
I'm supposed to keep this veset for the first three months, right? So I already kept the feb11. What do I keep now? Just the 30 day veset? Meaning I would keep march12 and april10? And that's it?
If it makes any difference my veset kavua is not due to the pill or anything, just being abnormally regular.
Thanks very much:
Dear questioner,
Thank you for your question.
In the case of a veset kavua for a haflagah, the veset is based on the interval from actual bleeding. If there is no bleeding, a new interval is not calculated. In other words, since you have not bled since January, you do not have a new thirty-day interval to observe. If you do not bleed again during your pregnancy, there will be no requirement to observe any further onot veset.
Make a note of your veset kavua, since it could theoretically become reactivated twenty-four months postpartum. B"H we can discuss it further then.
BeSha'ah tovah!
