Cervical bleeding in pregnancy

I am 26 weeks pregnant and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I have had the situation the first two pregnancies as well. I have a sensitive cervix and I tend to spot and bleed throughout the pregnancy. I have been put on reduced activity because the more activity I do the more often I bleed or get contractions. I am checked weekly by my doctor and so far nothing has changed with my cervix and there is no impending labor. I have what the doctors call a ectropion, I think, which is enlarged glands on the outside of my cervix so any strain such as a bowel movement may cause me to bleed.
If I remember and understood correctly, when I asked a rabbi duing my previous pregnancies I was told that I was not considered a nidah because this is not uterine bleeding and it's not causing me to go into labor. I just want to check with you and clarify that this is the case.
Please advise.

Since your doctor has confirmed that the staining you are experiencing is cervical and not uterine, you are not rendered niddah from this staining.

To be on the safe side, you should still wear colored underwear and avoid looking at toilet paper immediately after urinating to avoid finding any problematic stains. You can read our article on stains for further details.
