Omitted moch and white underwear

29 August, 2006

Question:

I got my period last Tuesday evening. I did a check on Sunday night – not good. Monday evening, I had a good check, but based on 'one of those' stressful days, I did not do a moch or have white underwear on. I just did a check on Tuesday morning, which was fine. Do I need to do a moch tonight after I check? Can I still go to the mikvah on Monday evening, or do I need to wait till next Tuesday evening? Either way is fine, I just want to do the right thing. Thanks.

Answer:

As long as you had a clean bedikah before sunset on Monday, your omission of the moch and of white underwear does not invalidate the beginning of the clean days. You do not need to "make up" the moch dachuk. If all goes well, you may go to the mikveh Monday night.
