Going off minipill

8 November, 2015

Question:

I am about to go off the minipill which I've been on for 18 months and have not yet had a period (I am still nursing quite a lot so not sure if its because of the pill or the nursing…) Should I be watching out for withdrawal bleeding? Does everybody have withdrawal bleeding?

Answer:

Most women experience some type of withdrawal bleeding after stopping the minipill. You don't have any formal vesatot to observe, but you should watch out for any staining or bleeding within a few days of stopping the minipill.

B'Hatzlacha!
