Nishmat’s Miriam Glaubach Center’s Annual Professional Development Workshop for Rebbetzins and Kallah Teachers

This year’s course is especially designed for Rebbetzins and Educators with at least one year of active Rebbetzin or kallah teaching experience. This course will provide new material to Rebbetzins and Kallah Teachers who have previously participated in our Professional Development programs in Jerusalem and Teaneck, but prior participation not required.

Morning: 9:00 -12:00 – Teaching toward Healthy Intimacy with Yoetzet Halacha Shoshana Samuels

  • Textual Analysis of Talmudic, Halachic and Hashkafic Sources

  • Pedagogy Workshop on how and what to teach

12:00 – 1:00 Brainstorming Lunch

Afternoon:

1:00 – 2:10 Text vs. Talk, Finding a Pedagogical Balance in Teaching Kallot with Shoshana Samuels  

  • Hands-on workshop

  • Text Topic: Mikveh Preparation and Immersion

Day 2

Morning: 9:00 -11:00 Common Gynecological Conditions and Procedures: Implications for the Observant Woman with Yoetzet Halacha Bracha Rutner and Dr. Bat-Sheva Lerner Maslow, MD

11:15 – 1:00  PM Passages: Navigating Niddah during Transitions in Fertility with Yoetzet Halacha Shoshana Samuels
