Nishmat and Sharsheret Partner in a New Training Program

Nishmat is proud to have joined forces with Sharsheret, an organization supporting Jewish women and families facing breast and ovarian cancer, to create the first global educational endeavor for the professional development of Yoatzot. Forty-four Yoatzot Halacha from around the world participated in a custom course aimed to equip Yoatzot Halacha with the knowledge and sensitivity needed to better serve women asking halachic questions about breast and ovarian cancer.  The first cohort of the Sharsheret Training Institute completed the course in the spring of 2022, and included forty-four English speaking Yoatzot Halacha from around the world, all graduates of Nishmat‘s Jerusalem-based “Keren Ariel Program” and its U.S.-based “Miriam Glaubach Center.”
