Omitting moch and reducing bedikot five months postpartum

I am now nearly 5 months after my 3rd birth and this is my second period. I was wondering whether it is essential to do a moch? I am currently having very bad pain during my period and feel that the entire area is swollen and very sore, it seems to get worse after each birth.
In addition can I do bedikot only on days 1, 3 and 7?
This will be the second time me going to the mikva post birth, I was bleeding post birth then had a period and only managed to go at around 15 weeks because of many issues of stainingת mainly I think because of the birth control I was taking. I have now stopped taking it and am not at the moment planning go go back on it. I just needed a break from nidda. In total it has been 5 weeks of me being tahor.

Yes, in this cycle (and next cycle if your soreness persists) you may omit the moch dachuk and perform one bedikah each on days 1 and 7, and on one intermediate day (whichever one you choose).
If you haven't yet, we suggest seeing your physician about your soreness and discomfort, on the chance that their cause can be pinpointed and treated.
