Vacation planning with Seasonale
23 April, 2018
Question:I am on seasonale and the week I am suppose to take the sugar pills is the week I am going on vacation. Am I able to take my sugar pills a week early so my period comes early, or can I start a new pack and take the sugar pills a week late?
Answer:Either option of delaying the sugar pills or stopping the active pills early is acceptable.
If you are concerned that you may experience staining due to extended use of active pills – or if you normally begin staining towards the end of your 84 days of active pills – it probably makes more sense to stop the active pills at least two weeks before your trip so you can get your period and allow yourself enough time to complete the taharah process and immerse before going on vacation.
