Husband returning Sunday
14 January, 2009
I should be going to the mikvah on Friday night but my husband is away.
He is coming home on Sunday morning.
Can I go to the mikvah on Motzei shabbos or during the day on Sunday?
In your situation, the preferable time to immerse is Motzai Shabbat so that you will be tehorah when your husband returns. Daytime immersion (even on the eighth day or later) is only permitted in extenuating circumstances.
You will do your final bedikot on Friday, the last day of your shivah neki'im. You may change to colored underwear after dark on Friday night.
