Any medical indication of possible danger r"l to you or your fetus, which would lead your physician to recommend induction, would be halachically acceptable grounds for induction.
Where not medically necessary, there is a halachic preference against inducing labor. The halachic hesitations apply if induction is done purely for the convenience of either the mother or physician, or if the medical risks outweigh the medical benefits.
When there is medical flexibility regarding the timing of induction, it is usually not scheduled on Shabbat or festivals – or on the days immediately preceding them – in order to avoid unnecessary halachic questions arising on those days.
BeSha'ah tovah!
