Washing white underwear in Nine Days
30 July, 2014
Question:I have a question about washing white underwear during the Nine Days when they coincide with the seven clean days. I technically have enough white underwear to last me through the Nine Days –– however, that includes underwear that is uncomfortable, and that I just keep in case of emergency. Am I permitted to wash white underwear so that I will have enough comfortable white underwear (of the type that I usually wear) during the Nine Days? Or do I have to wear the underwear I find uncomfortable and don't normally wear? Thank you.
Answer:You may wash underwear for use in the clean days, rather than wear something uncomfortable.
