Attributing blood to anal bleeding
18 November, 2015
Question:If after urinating and defecating, a woman wipes *only* around the area of her anus and finds blood or a bloody discharge on the toilet paper (even a significant amount), may the blood be attributed to anal bleeding? Or is it considered to have leaked from the vaginal area?
Answer:In a situation such as you describe, when a woman has hemorrhoids or a history of anal bleeding or can confirm that she has anal bleeding at that time, she may attribute the blood to anal bleeding and it does not make her niddah.
If otherwise, her status may depend on other details, such as whether she is observing a veset day.
