Red fibre on bedikah?

19 January, 2016

Question:

After doing a bedika on day 1 of my clean days I saw what looked like a red fibre on the bedika cloth. I tried to look closer to determine what is was, but it came off on my finger, leaving no mark on the cloth, so I didn't ask a question on it as there was nothing to show. I had just been holding my one year old son, who was wearing red pants.

I am now on day 5 of my clean days but this keeps playing on my mind. Can I assume that it was a red clothing fibre and not blood? I have seen nothing on the subsequent bedika cloths.

Answer:

Based on your description, you may disregard what you saw on the bedikah cloth and it did not affect your clean days.
