Causes of staining

Question:

I was wondering why i am discharging (brown) …..almost 2 weeks even before my monthly period is even due? And if there is anything in preventing it… Hope you can help….

Answer:

Usually, mid-cycle staining is the result of the dip in the estrogen level at ovulation, which weakens the uterine lining.  Hormonal therapy may be effective in relieving this staining.  Other possible causes for mid-cycle staining, as well as its prevention, are best discussed with your physician.
