Root canal and mikveh

Question:

I will be going for a root canal today but it’s the first of 4 appointments. I know I will have to go to the mikvah at some point in the process. Will this be considered a chatzitza?


Answer:

Usually temporary fillings are used until the permanent crown is set on the tooth. You may immerse with a temporary filling as long as it is scheduled to remain in place for at least seven days following immersion.
