Can we both hold our child’s hands during niddah?
December 22, 2014

Question

We have a three-year-old daughter, and when walking outside she wants to hold on to both me and my husband? Is that allowed during niddah?

Answer

As long as your child is capable of walking on her own, both parents may hold her hands and walk along with her, taking care not to lift her or push her together. However, some poskim are stringent even regarding both spouses holding her hands at the same time.
