Question

I have a question concerning behavior while nidah. Is a couple allowed to play board games and bond without touching, such as sharing activities, cooking supper together… while she is niddah?

Answer

The couple is allowed to share activities, including cooking or board games, so long as they are careful about the harchakot, in particular avoiding touch and interactions with sexual overtones. Both members of the couple should judge the appropriateness of each activity based on their own responses to that activity and communicate their feelings openly and sensitively. Bonding without touching can be wonderful, so long as the appropriate limits are in place to help the couple maintain physical distance and prevent sexual triggers.
