Keyboard playing during niddah
February 17, 2005

Question

Is my husband allowed to listen to me playing on the keyboard during my niddah days or shivah nekiim?

Answer

Yes, he may listen to you unless he finds it arousing. According to some authorities, a husband should not listen to his wife's singing while she is niddah, but this does not extend to instrumental music.

All the halachic restrictions of niddah apply until you have immersed in the mikveh; there is no difference between "niddah days" and shivah neki'im.
