Bedikot on consecutive onot
July 31, 2008

Question

If you need to do one bedika for each onah what do you do when you have two onot in a row? Do you have to do two bedikot or do you only need to do a bedika on the second one?

Answer

Even if you have two onot in a row, you should still perform your regular bedikah during each onah.

There are varying opinions about the number of bedikot one performs during an onah. Some say only one bedikah is needed, although there are opinions that require two or even three.
