Earliest time for morning bedikah
December 11, 2008

Question

What is the earliest time a bedika can be done? Is it ok if done after Alot? Or after the Zman for Tallit? Thank you.

Answer

A morning bedikah during the shivah neki'im should preferably be performed after henetz hachamah (sunrise); however it is valid as long as it was performed after alot hashachar (halachic dawn).
