Immersion with worm infection
September 1, 2014

Question

If one is infected with worms, does that deter one from going to the Mikveh? If you clean as much as possible, (and obviously have taken medication for it) would that be enough? Not sure if it's true, but I read somewhere that you can't get rid of them completely ever, only decrease their population.

Answer

As long as you clean yourself well in the external anal area, any worms that remain internally are not considered a chatzitzah and do not invalidate immersion.
