Thank you for reaching out to us.
Depending on where the cyst is located and concerns about scarring, it may be possible for you to have a self-dissolving stitch. Self-dissolving stitiches are not considered a
chatzitzah and would not delay immersion.
If a self-dissolving stitch is not possible, then you could immerse with a regular stitch if it will remain in place for a week or more after immersion. If the stitch will be removed earlier than that, please get back to us with more details.
Usually after this type of procedure there is a medical recommendation to wait before immersing for about 48 hours for the wound to heal. This should be clarified with your physician before moving ahead with mikveh.
We wish you a successful procedure and a refuah sheleimah. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
