Thank you for reaching out to us.
We follow the view that removal of an
IUD does not itself make a woman
niddah. Staining within a day or two of the removal can be attributed to trauma from the procedure. Subsequently, even if hormonal changes caused by removal lead to withdrawal bleeding, staining can likely be managed through adherence to the laws of stains. For example, stains on colored underwear would not make you niddah. Learn more about how to avoid becoming niddah from staining and about recommended conduct while staining on our site,
here.
When a married woman is not in niddah, it is permissible for her to immerse in the mikveh for emotional or spiritual reasons, but without a
beracha.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
