Mazal tov on your recent marriage!

The NuvaRing should be removed (very briefly) for your hefsek taharah, and one bedikah each on days 1 and 7. It may remain in place while performing the other bedikot. It also must be removed while you immerse. (Take it out in the preparation room at the mikvah right before you immerse and put it back in immediately afterwards.) These brief removals do not interfere with the efficacy of the NuvaRing.

If you use two rings back to back without taking a break in the middle, you are not required to go to the mikvah until you actually get your period and become niddah. Please note that some women will experience staining during the second nuvaring, so be prepared for that possibility. If the staining doesn't let up it might make sense to just remove it and let your period come. We do recommend abstaining from intercourse while staining until your status is clarified (either the staining subsides or you get your period).
