Question

Thank you so much for this wonderful service. B’chasdei Hashem we are expecting.
I would like to have the option of listening to music during birth b’ezrat Hashem. Is it permissible to listen to songs that have psukim and divrei Torah when it’s possible that bodily fluids will become present in the room?

Answer

Be-sha’ah tovah!
Yes, it is fully permissible to listen to pesukim and divrei Torah in the presence of bodily fluids that come out during childbirth, as long as there is no foul odor (which would be unusual). If you can, you should try to make sure that your hands are clean, though you need not wash them.
Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
