Question

If a woman wants to have her hair cut, what would be the minimum amount of days before tevila that you would advise for her to do so?

Answer

A woman may have her hair cut even on the day of tevilah, as long as she takes care to wash off any loose cuttings of hair that remain on her body. There is a halachic preference to avoid haircuts the day after tevilah, since, according to some opinions, the hair that will be removed the day after tevilah may already be considered a chatzitzah during tevilah.
