Question

How early in the day can I take a bath? I would love to do it before my kids come home from day camp.

Answer

You may bathe, and do any of the more time-consuming aspects of your preparations, anytime during the day after sunrise.

Shortly before immersion, you should remove or clean off any chatzitzot (jewelry, makeup, etc.), comb your hair, brush and floss your teeth, rinse off in the shower, and check your body for chatzitzot.
