Waiting to have relations with dam makkah?
June 22, 2014

Question

If it has been determined that bleeding is dam makka from a procedure, what does the woman need to do, if anything, before being intimate with her husband? Is there a waiting period?

Answer

If a woman has dam makkah from a procedure, she does not need to wait until the bleeding subsides before having relations, so long as she is not expecting her period and the bleeding is consistent with what is expected.

We recommend checking in with your doctor regarding the medical aspects of intercourse following a gynecological procedure.
