Finding bedikah cloths in Israel
October 26, 2012

Question

Hi,

Where can you get bedikah cloths in Israel? Someone told me that they're sold in the supermarkets next to the sanitary napkins, but I haven't found them in a single store. Maybe I'm not looking for the right thing?

Thanks.

Answer

In Israel, many supermarkets and large pharmacies carry bedikah cloths. They are usually in the feminine hygiene section and are in either plastic packets or small boxes. You can also order them online on supermarket and pharmacy websites.

There are different brands – and say on the package "Taharah", "Badei Tzach", "Edei Tzach", "Sarig Tzach", or "Edei Tohar". If you can't find any in your area, you will definitely be able to find them in supermarkets/pharmacies in religious neighborhoods. They are also sold at the mikveh.
