Hair growing from the body is a natural extension of it, and thus is not considered a chatzitza unless it is dirty or tangled. Based on your description, this hair was neither.
Though you did intend to be particular to remove it for immersion, that does not invalidate your immersion after the fact, especially since you don’t really mind its being there.
