Netilat yadayim before mikveh

Question

What is the order for going to the mikvah according to the Sephardic tradition (Moroccan)? Does one need to wash netilat yadaim before dipping in the mikvah or after?

Answer

While there are some differences in practice amongst Sephardic communities, if your custom is to recite the bracha before immersing, you should wash netilat yadayim, recite the bracha on the tevilah, and then immerse. We are not familiar with any specific Moroccan practices regarding tevilah.
