We are sorry to hear of your situation.
If you are only experiencing light bleeding or
staining, you may be able to complete the
seven clean days despite the continued bleeding. Please get back to us if this is the case; for a more immediate answer you can contact our
telephone hotline. If the bleeding is heavy (an actual flow) unfortunately you will not be able to begin the clean days until it tapers off.
You should have your doctor check if there is any other source of the bleeding (polyps, fibroids, etc.). In addition, there are medical options that may help reduce or even eliminate the bleeding, even if it is due to
perimenopause. You may refer your physician to the section of our website designed for healthcare professionals,
Jewish Women’s Health, which may be helpful in conveying the impact of continuous bleeding on your quality of life.
Please feel free to get back to us with any further questions.
B’Hatzlacha!
