Bandaid adhesive
August 11, 2020

Question

I immersed in the mikvah yesterday. I checked and did not find any chatzitzot. I had bloodwork the morning before mikvah night and had a bandaid. I completely removed it and rubbed the skin and did not find a trace of the adhesive right before I immersed.

Now a day later I found I must have left a minute amount of the adhesive. It is tiny, just around where the edges of the bandaid were. It comes off easily when I run my finger over it.

Is it a chatzitza? Do I have to immerse again?

Answer

A tiny amount of adhesive residue left on your skin is not considered a chatzitzah after the fact, and your tevilah remains valid.
