Question

Thank you for this amazing website: I am on day 3 of my clean days. I have not had any staining on my underwear and have no indication of bleeding. When I did a bedika, I got light brown mucus on it. It was not red in color, but medium to light brown mixed with yellow. Is this problematic?

Answer

If the mucus is yellow or light brown (the color of coffee with milk) with no reddish hue, it is acceptable and does not invalidate your clean days. Other shades of brown should be brought to a rabbi for evaluation.
