Husband applying bandage during niddah
October 3, 2012

Question

Due to a pain condition I currently have to wear a bandage on my back. It is impossible for me to put it on myself. The bandage has to be changed every few days. The expense of going to a professional to put it on is not something I can afford. My husband has gone to the doctor and has learned how to apply the bandage. I would like to know if my husband can put it on for me when I am a nidah?

Answer

Ideally you should try to find someone else to apply the bandage while you are niddah (relative, close friend, neighbor, etc.). If it is truly impossible to find anyone else to help, your husband may apply the bandage. He should preferably wear gloves and try to minimize contact as much as possible.
