You are not alone in finding
bedikot difficult. However, while it is true that a woman should ideally do two
bedikot on each of the
seven clean days, in cases where she finds
bedikot uncomfortable, or just unmanageable, a woman may reduce the number of
bedikot and perform one
bedikah on each day of the seven clean days. This probably makes sense for you, as doing a daily
bedikah as part of your morning routine may help with your forgetfulness and possibly ease the feeling that you need to be constantly worrying about
bedikot.
If a daily
bedikah is very difficult for you, one
bedikah on day one, one
bedikah on day seven, and one
bedikah on one of the middle days would suffice. We do not recommend omitting the middle day
bedikah, although, strictly speaking, a woman may immerse without it.
There is
no obligation to keep checking the
toilet paper. It would be better to find a halachically acceptable number of
bedikot that you can manage, rather than to rely on looking at the toilet paper.
