You should bring both the
hefsek cloth and the tampon to a rabbi for
evaluation if there are questionable stains on them. If the stains are acceptable, then your
hefsek and
moch are valid.
While the
hefsek must be done with a cloth that can be maneuvered into all the vaginal crevices, the
moch need not fulfill that requirement and just needs to fill up the vaginal canal. While it is preferable to use a
bedikah cloth for a
moch, you may use a tampon instead if it is more comfortable for you.
