Hair becoming tangled in mikveh

Question

When I prepare for the mikvah, I comb my hair very well and take out the knots. Once I am actually in the mikvah waters and dip etc, I find that my hair seems to get disheveled. I was wondering if this is a problem. Can hair become tangled or knotted in the actual mikvah waters?

Answer

This can sometimes happen in the mikveh.

As long as you comb your hair and remove knots prior to immersion, you need not worry about any tangling or knotting that might occur during the immersion itself.
