Delaying mikveh with cyclosporidium

Question

I tested positive for cyclosporidium and the recommendation is not to go into pools for at least 2 weeks after symptoms disappear. I’m not sure that I’ll be able to go to the mikvah this cycle, is there any reason to do the hefsek tahara and the week of checking? If I am able to go to the mikvah, should the clean days be the 7 days before going to the mikvah (connected) or can it be done earlier and then the mikvah night is delayed?

We suggest performing the hefsek taharah and counting the clean days on the chance that the timing will work out.

When it is necessary to delay immersion, it is fine to have a gap between the clean days and mikveh. Once you’ve completed the clean days, you can change to colored undergarments, and you won’t need to do any further bedikot before mikveh. You will immerse in the mikveh as soon as you are able to medically.
