No one local to rule on bedikot

Question

We are just married and are living in a community for the next two months that does not have a rav who will rule on bedikot and neither of us have a rav from home. How does one go about finding a rav to check bedika cloths when you are in such a place? How would one find one to even mail? We are only here temporarily but this obviously will pose a challenge, especially as we have many questions as newlyweds.

We recommend that you ask other women in the community (or the mikvah attendant) what they do about questionable stains. Is there another Jewish community nearby that has a rabbi whom you can contact? Is there a Chabad nearby? If you are unable to find a local halachic authority who evaluates stains, you can get back to us with your location and we can try to assist you.

Please note that not all women have regular questionable bedikot. Many women experience menstrual bleeding, and after 5-6 days it completely stops, with no further staining. Additionally, stains that are yellow or light brown (the color of coffee with milk) that have no reddish hue are acceptable and need not be brought for evaluation.
