Forgot to floss
July 17, 2002

Question

I went to the mikveh last night. This morning, I realized that I had brushed my teeth but forgot to floss. I didn’t find anything between my teeth this morning. What should I do?

Answer

You do not have to do anything at present. After the fact, especially given that you haven’t found anything, your immersion was valid.

Try to be more careful next month. Most mikvaot have a checklist to help you remember such items. It is a good idea to go over the checklist each time to help prevent forgetting.
