Question

I have had some bleeding due to change in my HRT. I am post menopause for several years. Am I considered in niddah? I have consulted my doctor who says that increasing my progesterone should correct this issue.

Thank you for reaching out to us! We are glad to hear that you’ve already discussed this with your physician. As we imagine they noted, adjustments to Hormone Replacement Therapy do sometimes lead to uterine bleeding.

Uterine bleeding can make a woman niddah, even following menopause. However, not all staining makes a woman niddah, and there is a chance that what you have experienced may be categorized as staining. That categorization depends on a number of factors, such as the color of what you saw, its size, and the surface on which it was found.
